Moreish shortbreads made with condensed milk
Servings 24 Biscuits
Ingredients
- 250 g butter or substitute
- ¾ cup brown sugar, lightly packed
- 1 tbsp condensed milk
- 2 ½ cups plain flour
- ½ cup self-raising flour
- ½ tsp salt
Instructions
- Set oven to 150 C
- Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy
- Add condensed milk, beat well
- Add sifted dry ingredients, mix well
- Turn on to lightly floured surface, knead until smooth
- Divide mixture in half, shape each into a roll, l ½ in. diameter
- Refrigerate 30 minutes
- Cut into ½ in slices
- Put on to lightly greased oven trays or one lined with baking paper
- Bake until golden brown. Check every 15 minutes,
